Description

Laodicea had several bathing complexes, five fountains (nymphaea), four agoras, two theatres and a stadium. Here we see the Caracalla Nymphaeum. In the 3rd century A.D., this building served as a meeting place for Christians. This is indicated by the cross, carved on a stone, which was found there (standing on bench at far right).
