Description
This large coenobium style monastery is located 6 km (4miles) from Tekoa, on a triangularspur of one of the tributaries of Valley of Tekoa. The monastery is surrounded by a wall and inside this wall the remains of a basilica with an atrium, a tower and cells were found. There is a cistern in the atrium court, and a reservoir in the garden. It may be identified with the monastery that had been the place where Dionysius and Theodosius taught.
