Siloam Pool

Description

This reconstruction drawing of the Pool of Siloam is based on the excavations of Bliss and Dickie in the late 19th century. According to their plan, the pool had a dhad a double entrance that probably had something to do with a ritual function. The double entrance gave access to a colonnaded porch that was built round a pool. It received water from Hezekiah’s Tunnel. It was perhaps in this building that the blind man, who was healed by Jesus, washed himself (John 9:7-11).
