Description

The Temple of Serapis was dedicated to Egyptian gods was built during the time of Hadrian (117-138 A.D.). Because of its conspicuous red brickwork, it is often referred to as the Red Court. Two circular towers stood at the east end of the Temple of Serapis. Large niches in the walls of these sanctuaries contained statues of deities.
