Description
According to the description of the Temple in 1 Kings 6, the Holy Place measured 40 cubits long (68 feet, 21.00 m) and 20 cubits wide (34 feet, 10.50 m). The walls were made of cedar wood, carved with cherubim, palms and open flowers, and overlaid with gold. The floor was made of pine wood and was also overlaid with gold. In the Holy Place stood the Altar of Incense, Ten Lampstands and the Table of Shewbread (Bread of the Presence).
