Description

This is a model of the Antonia Fortress that stood at the northwest corner of the Temple Mount, viewed from the northeast. The fortress had four towers, each of which were fifty cubits 86 feet (26.25 m.) high, apart from the one on the southeast, which was seventy cubits 120 feet (36.75 m.) high. Also visible is a gate in the northern wall of the Temple Mount next to the Antonia.
The Apostle Paul was arrested and taken into this fortress, as recorded in Acts 21.34,37; 22.24; 23.10,16,32.
