Description

This isometric drawing shows a building complex near the Sea of Galilee that was constructed in the second century A.D. It consisted of several baths, each located in separate, but interconnected rooms. The baths were filled with hot water from the Hamat Gader Springs nearby.
Hamat Gader takes its name from Gadera in the Land of the Gadarenes, where Jesus healed Legion, the man possessed with demons (Mark 5.9; Luke 8.26-30).
