Description
There are spectacular views of the travertine cliffs rising up from large pools below on the way to the north entrance of the ancient site of Hierapolis. The white cliffs are formed by the deposits from the mineral rich waters that come down from the many thermal springs in the area. The Turks call Hierapolis Pamukkale or “cotton castle.”
