Ephesus Harbour Road (Arcadian Way)

In this image, the harbour road is viewed from the top of theatre. The Aegean Sea can be seen in the distance. This picture was taken in spring time, when some water collects in the basin of the former harbour, revealing its previous outline. The Arcadian Way in the center of the picture led from the harbour to the city (this colonnaded street was named after the Emperor Arcadius, who rebuilt it at the end of the 4th century A.D.).
