Description
Biblical Dor is a city on the Mediterrean coast. In Hellenistic times it was called Dora, which became an important fortress. Here we see a reconstruction of one of the defensive towers, which had an internal staircase.
The reconstruction drawing of this tower has been used as an example for the Temple Tower described in the Temple Scroll, one of the Dead Sea Scrolls.
