Laodicea Ephesus Gate

In this view we look west to the Ephesus Gate. The road beyond the gate crosses the Roman bridge over the Asopus River and continues through a narrow pass into the Meander River Valley, which eventually led to Ephesus.
It is exciting to think that, after having delivered the last of the seven letters, the messenger mentioned in the Book of Revelation, would have left by the Ephesus Gate, crossed the bridge and walked over the 110-mile long road back to Ephesus.
