Description
The central colonnaded street of Laodicea, known as the Syria Street, ran east-west through the city. The view from the road in this picture faces east. In the distance is the Lycus Valley where Colossae is located, at the foot of the mountains on the right, showing that the two churches of Laodicea and Colossae were in close proximity to each other.
